Menopause causes many conditions that can disturb sleep and bring on a bout of insomnia, including hot flashes and night sweats.

Not Necessarily Menopause
You fall into a restful sleep - only to wake up to find your night clothes and your bedding soaked. You are the victim of night sweats or nocturnal sweating. This isn’t really a sleep disorders, and, although it may sometimes be the result of menopause, this isn’t necessarily true.
